My name is Sam and I’ve been at Chestnut and Rose from the start. After a few late night text messages and little chat in the garage with Sarah, I was offered a job. It’s now been 3 years, and what a great 3 years it’s been! From starting with a new team, a completely different building and basically brand new everything! We have managed to build some lovely customer relationships and a great team to work with.
I have met some really lovely people, from new babies to our oldest regular, Richard, who was 98!
Working with Sarah is an absolute pleasure. We have built a lovely working relationship and now friendship. Keeping the ethos of Chestnut & Rose is the main focus, coming up with ideas and ways to keep the cafe interesting and a great place to pop in and meet friends. Being a plant-based cafe has been so well received in the community, it just shows what an amazing open-minded place Kesgrave is.
It’s a wild ride some days with some real challenges thrown our way, but I think that’s what makes it fun.
I look forward to seeing you in the cafe to celebrate our 3rd birthday.
